can someone tell me what to do with my life please?

I was asked to go in for an interview for an internship at a big publisher, but he wants me to come in on Thursday or Friday, and I work every day. So I would have to ask my boss for the time off and I just had 3 hours off from work on Friday for my birthday and now I don’t know what to do because if my work won’t give me the time off, I’m going to go and if I don’t get the internship then I don’t have the internship or the job and then I’m poor again and I just don’t know what to do. 

this didn’t makesense.
